Dr. Aishah Manuel-Ebanks

I am a NJ Certified School Psychologist who specializes in treating children, adolescents, and young adults. I received my Bachelor’s degree from Rutgers University. I was awarded a Master of Arts in Psychology with distinction from Kean University in 2012. I went on to receive a second Master’s (2016) and Doctorate degree (2019) in School Psychology from Rutgers University Graduate School of Applied and Professional Psychology (GSAPP). I completed my APA-accredited internship at Woodhull Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY. As a school psychologist, I currently work in one of the largest school districts in NJ. My experience includes treating and assessing individuals of varying ages within diverse settings and at varying levels of care. My goal is to provide comprehensive services that support the psychological functioning of my patients.

I provide psychotherapy services for children, adolescents, and adults with a range of presenting concerns, including anxiety, depression, histories of trauma, learning disabilities, ADHD, autism spectrum disorder, and cognitive and executive functioning deficits. I also work with non-binary, transgender, lesbian, gay, and bisexual youth, and their families. When working with adolescents, I utilize a client-centered, identity-affirming framework to deliver mental health services tailored to their socio-cultural and developmental needs. My approach to treatment incorporates different evidence-based interventions and theories, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, attachment theory, and mindfulness.
